INDUSTRY EXPERTISE

We have 15 years of experience in marketing financial services to individual, institutional and corporate clients, specializing in wealth management and equity research. We’ve developed and executed comprehensive marketing programs that supported the retirement and wealth management goals of Morgan Stanley Global Wealth Management and TIAA-CREF.

From an ideological perspective, we understand what motivates individuals to save for retirement (or not) and how to structure campaigns and messaging to resonate with investors and compel them to act. From a technical perspective, we’re intimately familiar with retirement vehicles, their structure and the legal and regulatory environment in which they’re marketed. Managing Director Scott Brennan held Series 6, 7, 24, and 26 registrations from FINRA from 1999 through 2008. He also has an MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

We enjoy working with nonprofit organizations and their constituencies. We have an understanding and appreciation of cause-related marketing and the dynamics of reaching members, supporters and influencers. Greenfield’s compact structure lends itself well to organizations with economic limits, and we’re skilled at maximizing the impact of each marketing dollar spent.

SCOTT BRENNAN


swb1Scott W. Brennan founded Greenfield Marketing & Communications in 2014 as a way to provide clients with a broad range of consulting and marketing services in a responsive and nimble context. He is as adept at high-level strategic planning as he is with hands-on tactical execution, which is one of the key reasons he started the firm. He is an experienced professional, passionate about marketing, and driven to serve the needs of clients. 
Before starting Greenfield, Scott was a Vice President at Standard & Poors (later called S&P Capital IQ) where he was the head of marketing for their wealth management client segment and research product offering. In his six years at the company, he built and managed marketing teams in the US and UK, presiding over the launch of several new products and capabilities. In his last year, he managed the strategy and content development for S&P Capital IQ’s corporate website.
From 1999 to 2008, Scott led retirement marketing groups at Morgan Stanley Global Wealth Management and TIAA-CREF, infusing a strategic discipline into all marketing activities and processes, while developing a deep understanding of individual investing and retirement.
From 1993 to 1999, Scott was a copywriter at several New York advertising agencies including Wunderman Cato Johnson and Grey Direct. He worked on mainly financial accounts including JP Morgan, Citibank, Andersen Consulting, and Chase.
At the beginning of his career, he was a marketing director at several New York City cultural organizations including an Off Broadway theatre, a performing arts center and a museum. His nonprofit experience gave him the opportunity to create great results for very little money, and he has drawn on this resourcefulness throughout his career.
Scott has an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature from The University of Chicago and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. A native New Yorker, Scott lives with his wife and three children on the north shore of Long Island, where he enjoys sailing, bird watching and the outdoors.
